Mörlialp

Situated high above Lake Sarnen, the Mörlialp excursion area is ideal for families and groups and offers a fascinating view of the Sarneraa valley and the surrounding mountains. In summer, Mörlialp offers numerous hiking opportunities with wonderful views of the lake and mountains. In winter, you can enjoy the snow on 14 kilometers of pistes, 6 kilometers of winter hiking trails and snowshoe trails and around 2.2 kilometers of perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails.

Popular winter experiences

Skiing & snowboarding

For beginners, there are several lifts on easy terrain, while experts can enjoy the fast descents on wide and sometimes challenging slopes. The 7 transport facilities and 14 kilometers of pistes extend from 1350 to 1850 m above sea level.

Tobogganing

Glide comfortably on the chairlift to the start of the toboggan run and then take the rapid descent back to the valley station - a delight for all sledging fans. Rental equipment is available, from Davos toboggans for experts.

Snowshoe tours

Leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind and enjoy the small paradise of Mörlialp above Lake Sarnen with crunching steps.

Winter hiking

A wonderful winter hike to Merliseeli or a leisurely walk with a view of the Sarneraa valley. A wonderful way to experience winter on foot.

Snowbike

Snowbiking is the perfect alternative for anyone who is not on skis or a snowboard or simply wants to try something new.

Cross-country skiing

The short cross-country ski trail at the foot of the Giswilerstock starts at 1,300 m above sea level. The leisurely circuit takes you to Rinderalp and back again.

Zinsli Kinderland

Children immediately feel at home in the snow when there is lots to discover. On the Mörlialp, they gain their first skiing and snowboarding experience with a carousel, mascots, fun slides and an obstacle course.

Bärgmandlipfad around the Giswilerstock

The Giswilerstock is at the center of this circular hike. The Bärgmandlipfad takes you around this mighty limestone massif. The ancient connecting paths lead from alp to alp.

The Fluonalp is located in the middle of lush alpine meadows, adjacent to the nature and wildlife reserve below the Giswilerstock. Giswiler Älplermagronen or Fluonalper-Chässchnitten with a Cheli are among the house specialties of the Alpbeizli Fluonalp.

The licensed Mörlialp Bike School teaches children how to ride a mountain bike safely in a playful way in the Kids Bike League at Marmot, Chamois and Ibex levels. In the advanced levels, children have the opportunity to improve their skills in the bike park, on the trail or on the pump track.
